Developing a stable bamboo industry is not only a great way to realise Malawi 2063 vision, which aims at achieving an inclusively wealthy and self-reliant nation, has the broad purpose of supporting a green and resilient economic transformation,
but also, a strategic approach to help Malawi achieve landscape restoration target of 4.5 million hectares by 2030", said Honourable Minister of Natural Resources and Climate Change Dr Michael Usi as he presided over the Awareness and Sensitization Workshop on Bamboo Sector Development, today February 20th 2023, in Lilongwe.
