Natural Resources and Climate Change Minister, Honourable DR Michael Usi today held a meeting with the directors, deputy directors and senior officials where he was briefed about programs and activities that are being implemented by various departments in the ministry.
During the meeting, the new minister also shared his vision and aspirations on how the ministry ought to work in order to fulfill its mandate.
Dr. Usi emphasized on the importance of creating conducive work environment for all members of staff, team work, dedication to duty and professionalism.
He also stressed on improved communication for the general public to follow what the ministry is doing and to appreciate the importance of taking care of natural resources and conserving the environment.
"We should work in a well coordinated manner with various stakeholders and sensitize people on the importance of conserving the environment," the minister said.
Welcoming the minister, the Principal Secretary Mr. James Ali congratulated Dr. Usi on his appointment as Minister of Natural resources and Climate Change and assured him of the support from all members of staff when discharging his ministerial duties.
